Mommy Mitten - http://mommymitten.com -– was launched Sept 2009. The owner came up with the idea for Mommy Mitten in Oct 2007 when her baby was just two months old. She was out running errands with her in the stroller in her NYC neighborhood and it had just started getting chilly outside. She did not have her mittens even out of storage yet; thus the idea struck. She searched for competitive products and at the time found none. So she was off to the races as they say. Since then she has worked through the provisional patent process, trademarking,, prototype creation and selection of a manufacturer, building a website, setting up her company and so much more. This venture took a bit longer then she had hoped namely due to the fact she was doing all of this on her own primarily when her little one took her naps each day; but she finally launched in Sept 2009. Now she is excited to say that Mommy Mitten is sold via her website, www.mommymitten.com, as well as on the Babies R Us website!
